Passive voice

48. The passive
In the passive, the object of an active verb becomes the subject of the passive verb. To build a passive sentences, past participle is used after the verb “be”, “By phrase” is used to show who does the action. However, “by phrase” is not used when it is not known or not important to know exactly who performs an action.
Examples :
• Nina helps freddy (Freddy is helped by Nina)
• Nina is helping Freddy (Freddy is being helping by Nina)
• Nina has helped Freddy (Freddy has been helped by Nina)
• Nina helped Freddy (Freddy was helped by Nina)
• Nina was helping Freddy (Freddy was being helped by Nina)
• Nina had helped Freddy (Freddy had been helped by Nina)
• Nina will help Freddy (Freddy will be helped by Nina)
• Nina is going to help Freddy (Freddy is going to be helped by Nina)
• Nina will have helped Freddy (Freddy will have been helped by Nina)
